Who and what is Thank A Carer? (#thankacarer)
We are here to give back to those that give!
It really is as simple as that! But we can’t do it without your help.
BACKGROUND
Recently running a social media competition with Sure Wise Ltd called #sharercarer in celebration of Carers Week (6th – 12th June 2017), we wanted to share our love for carers but letting others share their carers with us. The amount of comments, shares and stories that came back touched our hearts more than we could have ever imagined, and thus #thankacarer was born.
We want to celebrate bigger and better, take what we had created with our competition and make it a regular occurrence, giving a new carer the chance to win every week!
THE COMPETITION
Do you know a carer? Do they give their all to support and care for others? And do they deserve the chance to be celebrated?
This is your chance to show them how much you care for and appreciate all that they do, whether they care for you directly, a friend or relative or maybe you don’t know who but you know the work they put in. Whether they’re paid or unpaid, a nurse, care minder or foster carer, if they care, we care!
All you have to do is go to the nominate page on our thankacarer.com website and fill in the form. You will tell us who you are (nominator) and who your chosen carer is (nominee) and provide us with contact details for each, so we can keep in touch and for us to know who to contact if they win. There is also a section for you to tell us a bit about your carer, we want to hear your stories, background, journies, anything you can tell us about why you are nominating this person, what they mean to you or the person they care for and what makes them worthy of being celebrated as one of our carers of the week!
THE PRIZE
Every winning carer will receive an exciting signature mug expressing how amazing they are!

On top of this, they will get a £50 voucher, this varies every week so keep an eye on the site (Prize) and our social media (Facebook & Twitter) to see what the next prize will be. For this launch week, the voucher will be for M&S (Marks & Spencer).
